Nintendo has announced the Nintendo Switch 2, which brings many upgrades compared to the original model to make better gaming experience. The main new features include:

Nintendo Switch 2 has an 8-inch display, which is larger than the 7-inch screen display on the first Switch. This gives players a more engaging visuals. The console still works as both a handheld device and a home console. The kickstand now has a 'U' shape, which helps it stand up more .
Enhanced Connectivity:

The Switch 2 comes with Joy-Con controllers you can take off. They stick on with magnets instead of sliding. This new way to connect them tries to make them more stable and easier to use.

You can play your Nintendo Switch games on this new device. It works with games on cartridges and ones you download. But some games might not work on it.
Upgraded Performance:
Nintendo hasn't revealed the hardware specs yet, but word on the street is that the Switch 2 will pack an eight-core Cortex-A78AE processor, 10 streaming multiprocessors (SMs), and 8GB of RAM. This setup points to a big step up in power compared to the original Switch.
Nintendo has plans to give more information about the Switch 2 in a special Nintendo Direct event set for April 2, 2025.
