GTA 6 Delayed, But Why
I am sure that recently you have heard that GTA 6 is delayed. Now it will be released on 26 May 2026, but why. Why it is delayed and what is its effect on the gaming industry. Here I will tell you why -
Making Beyond Expectation
From the beginning Rockstar games is known for making games much better than the expectation of gamers. They officially confirmed that they want to make the game much better than expectations and for that they want a little more time.
Crowded 2025
There are a lot of games coming this year, even Take Two Interactive itself launching two big games(Borderlands 4, Mafia: the old country) this year. Maybe rockstar wanted to release the game peacefully.
Tariffs
USA putting tariffs on countries. Game discs are made in Mexico and due to tariffs its cost will increase and also on game consoles which are primarily made in China. Maybe also a reason to delay, finding a solution to it.
One more thing is that maybe they are waiting till more people buy new gen consoles.
Effect on Game Industry
Overall it will be beneficial for both gta 6 and the gaming industry. Other game developers who are launching their games are afraid of gta 6 now that they can release their games and can make profit which increases growth of this industry and later when gta 6 will come there will be few games coming so in 2026, gta 6 also gives boost to industry. Now this industry can face more growth.
